and acoustics,
and plant life/habitats,
and music.
We also saw this very informative display in the section on human biology,
the largest apartment buildings imaginable (these
are behind the science museum and the picture only
captures a third of each building),
and some really beautiful birds in a horribly inadequate aviary.
Oh, and Isaac was there too.

That biology display is a crack up. First comes holding hands on a bench, then comes marriage, then comes hugging etc in a bed (LOL) then comes baby! It makes perfect sense! :)
Why no pose in front of the biology display?
That looks like a cool museum. Yes, nothing compares to San Fransisco and D.C. museum life. But funny to see everything in Spanish.
I guess you found a nanny for the kids? Exciting!
and p.s....those apartments are crazy.
haha - the human biology thing is hilarious. it might not be p.c. in california for too much longer though.
Well, would you rather have an adequate aviary with subpar birds?
Nothing like that biology display to get kids asking some questions...
Great plans but half of it not working. That's not TIV because it's also TIA and probably TIP. And if the state is teaching that marriage comes BEFORE the baby, how come no one seems to get it?
Wow...I learned so much from the biology display. I guess I won't be able to get pregnant again until I sit on a park bench and later embrace Mike in bed wearing a pink nightie. Thank you for this post. ☺
I am glad that the staff was so attentive. We went to a Science Museum and a lot of the day I kind of felt on our own.
What adventures! I love reading your blog - so fun to read and so educational! :-) Your boys are so handsome - I still can't believe how big they are! Time sure flies by, doesn't it?!?
What great experiences for your family - so cool! We love and miss you guys!
That human biology *ahem* tutorial is fantastic.
The biology display is hillarious:-) BUt cute!!
OK, I don't have anything to say about the museum. (If it's not the Creation Museum, it's not "science I can believe in.") Just a comment about the fact that you had Veteran's Day off: Working for the U.S. Federal Government in Latin America is the perfect storm for having a maximum of days off! You get all the days off that even most Americans don't get off--Columbus Day, Veteran's Day--and you get the countless holidays of your host country too! If I had to pick a career all over again... :)
OK- Lima doesn't have such a cool museum. Yay for Caracas!
These posts are so educational for me. I just picture Venezuela full of banana trees and druglords. Glad there's educational stuff, too.
