Another Year Older

Today I celebrated this many years of being alive ... and this far in, the verdict is that it's been an above average life so far.

And the next year is starting off pretty well complete with a scrumptious birthday feast of delicious Sam's Club hors d'ouvres and, of course, cupcakes - YUM, YUM, YUM!

And, if that alone wasn't enough, in addition to cards, emails, and phone calls, there was also...

Flowers from Kenny

Dinner at Zupa's - in my opinion the world can
never have too many soup, sandwich and salad places!

A Mah Jong set - so I don't have to be the only
one of my group without one!

A Charm bracelet - isn't it charming?

Sour Candy - from someone who obviously knows me well

A Bucket of Pampering - ahhhhhh

A gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure

Shoes - because, well, because they're shoes

And, lunch at Ruby Tuesday for one last really good
burger before heading back to Peru where burgers are
a truly foreign concept

Caleb was not thrilled with all the attention I got.

Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday! I'm glad to hear you are getting your cupcake and hamburger fix prior to heading back to Peru. I ate one hamburger at Machu Picchu and it was a BIG mistake. Yuck!

Glad to hear you had a fun day. Those shoes are cute!

By the way, I'm looking for some Spanish children's books for Ethan. I thought I'd just order some on Amazon. Do you have any recommendations?

Happy B-day! Those shoes alone deserve their own post. Cute.

Happy, Happy Birthday.

Nothing proves a good birthday more than a jealous two-year-old.

Happy Birthday! Didn't get you anything :-(
However, I did some research and T'anta actually has a mean burger. Now... are you brave enough to try the Hamburguesa Limena?

I really like how you gave us pictures of each present. I'm doing that next time.

Good luck on your long journey. I wish you were going to be around another two months so I could meet you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope it was truly wonderful and I suck for emailing you about Venezuela and forgetting to email to tell you that I hope you have the greatest day ever. I am glad it was filled with all kinds of food that cannot be obtained in foreign lands... I'll call you as soon as the time change (5 hours) permits!

I was, for some reason, not catching onto the fact that it was YOUR birthday and could NOT figure out why Caleb got MahJong?

I'm still a little lost about MahJong.
