My Dad and IsaacI know they say girls tend to go for guys that remind them of their fathers when they are looking for "mr. right" and while my father and my husband are very different people in many ways, they do have several things in common. The following are some of my favorite traits shared by the dads I love best...

love children - especially mine
read every description of every exhibit in museums
are far neater than their wives
love to travel and do so often

have extensive wardrobes and like to shop for themselves and their wives
are generous with their time, talents and resources
make me proud to know and love them

I found your blog through "the gab blog." I was excited to find someone who lived in Peru and I assume, is a member of the church. My brother is on a mission in Peru (Arequipa.) I don't know where you live, but if you ever meet an Elder Decker...tell him hi! I find Peru to be a fascinating place.
