So much to do and so little time. We are already 1/8 of the way through our time in DC and we've barely made a dent in our long list of things not to miss in the Nation's Capital. Notice there is only one eatery mentioned below. I could easily make a list twice this long of can't miss foods, but that would just be overwhelming, not to mention heart attack inducing. My conservative estimate is that we'll get though 75% of this list...we'll see. By the way, if this list is missing your favorite thing to do in DC, please let me know, I'm always on the look out for new ways to enjoy this city I love so much.

ReplyDeleteNeal and I fell in love over the Hirshhorn and sculpture garden...it's our favorite! But not everyone leans toward contemporary art. It looks like you have some awesome times ahead of you!
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed at how few of these items we managed during a total of eight (8!) years in the DC area, including 6 in the District Itself. Gives us a good reason to be tourists, I guess. ..bruce..

ReplyDeleteI would recommend a maize maze, but you may have missed the boat on that one. And catch A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theater. An FAS colleague's son is playing Tiny Tim!

I grew up in Virgina and admit I just went to Williamsburg last summer for the first time, and have still never been to Jamestown.
Oh - and the arboretum apparently does midnight hikes in the fall!!! I JUST found out about this. It is now on my list for next fall.
