Today you are 1 and we are celebrating. We are so blessed to have you in our family. Mommy and Daddy and your big brother Caleb love you as much as it is possible to love anyone or anything. We delight in your smile and your laugh. We are impressed by your sleeping abilities, your voracious appetite and your unfailingly good humor. It seems impossible that you have already been with us for a year, but equally impossible that you have not always been with us. I have to say that I'm insanely jealous that you are dressing your kids in shorts, t-shirts and no shoes these days. Our first mid-west winter has been nothing but brutal. ReplyDeleteSweet tribute to your little guy. I also enjoyed your previous post on President Obama's inauguration. I loved the historicity of the day and feel that our nation's new leader sincerely wants to do a lot of good. However it's been a bitter wake-up call to remember that his definition of "good" includes supporting abortion & promoting other things that fly in the face of truths I hold dear. I do appreciate his emphasis on the positive and, in general, wish him well.
